Poems

A word is not the same with one writer as with another. One tears it from his guts. The other pulls it out of his overcoat pocket. -Charles Peguy (1873-1914)

Lewis Carroll Explains "Jabberwocky" - a sonnet for school (being high school)

Riding the Fence - see Romans 7:15

A Tiny Generic Poem - Advice to Live By

What Did You Expect? - I think poems should be written like this more often. I just said "I will write something" and started writing, and out popped this insane poem. (I'm pretty sure it went "boink.") I really like the possibilities of this poem.

Daybreak - it seems like this should mean something hopeful.

A Christmas Poim - written in Latin/Greek Roots class. That was a fun class.

Birdsong - some people don't realize how wonderful they are. Somehow, I think that intensifies their wonderfulness.

An Animal Rights Poem - another tasty little set of lines I don't even entirely agree with. is.

A Girl - you can guess.

Mind Entwined - an invitation to be known.

The Iron Barricade - written a bit prior to the previous. Six quatrains and a couplet. Or two quatrains and a sonnet. Symbolic.
