P. G. Wodehouse is a phenomenally funny, phenomenally prolific author. I won't attempt to list his books here, but I will say that any book in the Jeeves and Wooster series is well worth reading. It's all sort of intelligent British humor, very mildly satirizing English upper-class life in the early 1900's.

Wodehouse (pronounced like woodhouse) was knighted actually, and fans refer to him as Sir Plum.

You learn a lot by reading him. Definitely give him a checkout at your local library.
